Prof. Dr. h.c. Ludwig Georg Braun, Ilona Braun, Martin Lüdicke, die B.
Braun Holding GmbH & Co. KG, die BraHo Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH and
Ludwig G. Braun GmbH & Co. KG informed us on October 15, 2013 pursuant to
sec. 27a(1) WpHG, thereby making reference to the exceedance of the
threshold of 10% from October 14, 2013, as follows:

* The investment is used to implement strategic objectives. 

* Within the next twelve months, the reporting persons intend - within
their plan to sustainably secure their minority shareholding in
RHÖN-KLINKUM AG - to obtain further voting rights by acquisition or any
other way.

* The reporting persons intend to obtain a representation on the
supervisory board of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG relative to the significance of their
shareholding in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG. Beyond that, the reporting persons do not
intend to influence the composition of the administration, management or
supervisory board of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG.
 
* The reporting persons do not intend to change the capital structure of
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, especially with regard to the ratio of internal/outside
financing and the dividend policy.

* The reporting parties have used partly own funds and predominantly
external funds in order to finance the purchase of the voting rights.
