The Local Court of Schweinfurt today entered into the commercial register
the resolution of the general meeting of 12 June 2014 on capital decrease
by way of redemption of shares to be acquired.

Following the registration of the resolution on capital decrease with the
commercial register, the preconditions for the implementation of the share
repurchase 2014 and thus the distribution of an amount of about 1.7 bn
Euros of the proceeds from the transaction with Fresenius/HELIOS are
created. The share repurchase 2014 is expected to be implemented in the
period starting on 16 October and ending of 14 November 2014.

The acquisition parameters for the share repurchase 2014 are expected to be
determined and announced in the evening of 14 October 2014.
