Notification according to section 26 para. 1 WpHG 

UBS AG, Zurich, Switzerland, notified us pursuant to section 25a WpHG of
the following:

On 1 August 2012, UBS AG exceeded the threshold of 5% of the voting rights
of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale,
Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 5.67% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 7,842,709 voting rights).

On that date, the composition of the voting rights held by UBS AG was as
follows:

A proportion of 0.005% (equals 6,783 voting rights) was based on
(financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG. From the voting
rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG a proportion of
0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) was held indirectly. The (financial/other)
instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG are described as
Equity Swaps with expiration date 4 February 2015.

A proportion of 3.03% (equals 4,184,192 voting rights) was based on
(financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From the voting
rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a proportion of
0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) was held indirectly.

A proportion 2.64% (equals 3.651.734 voting rights) was based on voting
rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG.
