The Franklin Mutual Series Fund, Short Hills, USA, has informed us on 30
January 2007 pursuant to § 21 (1) Sent. 1 WpHG that the share of the total
voting rights held in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Schlossplatz 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt
a.d.Saale, Germany, has exceeded the threshold of 5% on 29 August 2006 when
the voting rights reached 5.06%. Per the date of this notification the
share of the total voting rights amounts to 6.28%.

The Franklin Mutual Advisers, LLC, Short Hills, USA, has informed us on 30
January 2007 pursuant to § 21 (1) Sent. 1 WpHG that the share of the total
voting rights held in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Schlossplatz 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt
a.d.Saale, Germany, has exceeded the threshold of 5% on 12 July 2006 when
the voting rights reached 5.07%. All of this voting rights were
attributable to Franklin Mutual Advisers, LLC under § 22 (1) Sent. 1 No. 6
WpHG. 3.84% of this voting rights are conferred by shares owned by Franklin
Mutual Series Fund, an investment fund established under US laws, for which
the Franklin Mutual Advisers, LLC act as discretionary investment manager.
