Today's hearing in cartel proceeding

  • Düsseldorf Court of Appeals to pronounce judgment on 11 April 2007

The Düsseldorf Court of Appeals today deliberated the decision on the appeal lodged by RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG in the cartel proceeding regarding the district hospitals in Rhön-Grabfeld. 

On 10 March 2005 the Federal Cartel Office prohibited the takeover of the district hospitals in Bad Neustadt and Mellrichstadt. The Company lodged an appeal against this before the Düsseldorf Court of Appeals. On 5 October 2005 the Court first issued a clarifying order requesting the Federal Cartel Office to conduct further investigations into the question of the objectively relevant market.

The judgment of the Düsseldorf Court of Appeals will be pronounced on 11 April 2007.
