Hospitals in Cuxhaven, Waltershausen-Friedrichroda and Boizenburg Initiallyto Remain with RHÖN for Merger Control ReasonsThe hospitals in Cuxhaven, Waltershausen-Friedrichroda and Boizenburg havebeen removed from the application to the German Bundeskartellamt(Independent Competition Authority) following a current evaluation ofmerger control aspects for the entire transaction. These facilities willnot transfer to Fresenius / Helios but will initially remain with the RHÖNKLINIKUM AG corporate group. This also applies to a number of medical carecentre (MVZ) companies which are connected to the above hospitals eitherfor regional reasons or through their corporate concept. In the next fewmonths RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG will develop and implement a sustainablealternative concept for the future of these hospitals.Based on current knowledge of the facts, RHÖN assumes that theBundeskartellamt will clear the transaction for a total of 40 hospitalswithin the procedural deadline.*************************************************************************RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG is one of the largest healthcare providers in Germany.
