Notification according to section 26 para. 1 WpHG 

UBS AG, Zürich, Switzerland, notified us pursuant to section 25a WpHG of
the following:

On 20 July 2012, UBS AG exeeded the threshold of 5% of the voting rights of
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG, Salzburger Leite 1, 97616 Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale,
Germany. On that date, UBS AG held 7.52% of the voting rights in
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG (equals 10,395,735 voting rights).

On that date, the composition of the voting rights held by UBS AG was as
follows:

A proportion of 0.01% (equals 12,772 voting rights) was based on
(financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG. From the voting
rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG a proportion of
0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) was held indirectly. The (financial/other)
instruments pursuant to section 25a WpHG are described as
Equity Swaps with expiration date 4 February 2015.

A proportion of 4.93% (equals 6,815,814 voting rights) was based on
(financial/other) instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG. From the voting
rights based on instruments pursuant to section 25 WpHG a proportion of
0.00% (equals 0 voting rights) was held indirectly.

A proportion of 2.58% (equals 3,567,149 voting rights) was based on voting
rights pursuant to sections 21, 22 WpHG.
