Bad Neustadt a.d. Saale, 5 August 2009 

Today, the management board of RHÖN-KLINIKIUM AG has determined with the
supervisory board's consent the volume of the capital increase from
authorised capital, which was resolved upon on 19 July 2009. The company's
share capital will be increased against cash contributions, from currently
EUR 259,200,000.00 by EUR 86,380,000.00 to an amount of EUR 345,580,000.00
by way of an issue of 34,552,000 no-par value shares, each representing an
arithmetical pro rata amount of EUR 2.50 of the share capital.
The registration of the completion of the capital increase will be filed
with the commercial register on 6 August 2009. The gross proceeds of the
issue are approx. EUR 460 million.
