As a physician and well-established expert in healthcare and the health insurance sector Dr. Christoph Straub will follow the call of the largest German health insurance fund and become its CEO. RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG's chairman of the board of management Wolfgang Pföhler: "We very much appreciated Dr. Straub's expert knowledge and style of leadership. Barmer-GEK will thus gain a well-established and recognised specialist who will continue to make an active contribution in the healthcare sector."

Wolfgang Pföhler will propose to the supervisory board of Rhön Klinikum AG that Dr. Straub's board member service agreement should be dissolved. The supervisory board will address this proposal in its meeting on 27th April.
