Dr. Irmgard Stippler takes over management of University Hospital Gießen and Marburg

As of 1 May 2011, Dr. Irmgard Stippler will take over the management of Universitätsklinikum Gießen und Marburg GmbH (UKGM). The 46 year-old succeeds Joseph Rohrer as chairman of the Management Board. To ensure continuity in the hospital’s management, Mr. Rohrer in future will act as adviser for UKGM. At the same time, Dr. Irmgard Stippler assumes the operative responsibility for UKGM in the Board of Management of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG and will continue to be responsible for the Group’s Materials Management and IT.  

Dr. Irmgard Stippler, who holds a doctorate in economics, has worked in executive positions at RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG since 2007 and has been a member of the Board of Management since the beginning of 2009. Before that she worked as a research assistant of the faculty of economics at Ludwig Maximilians Universität in Munich as well as in various specialist and management positions at the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce and Deutsche Telekom.

At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of UKGM GmbH appointed Dr. Stippler as chairwoman of the Management Board. The Supervisory Board of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG will vote on the modified Terms of Reference of the Board of Management at its next regular meeting.
