On 22 December 2009, RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG acquired a further 20 per cent interest in Amper Kliniken AG from Fördergesellschaft Landkreis Dachau AG. The listed hospital group thus increases its stake in Amper Kliniken AG to 94.9 per cent. The parties agreed to maintain secrecy regarding the purchase price.

With its decision to sell further interests, the District of Dachau is demonstrating that RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG has fully lived up to the trust placed in it when the hospital group acquired the original majority interest in 2005: the hospital operator based in Bad Neustadt has proven itself a reliable partner in securing generalised healthcare delivery at a very high level. The hospital Group thus once again shows that private investment in good medical care is a genuine alternative to state investment.
