HIGH MEDICAL QUALITY IS AN ONGOING PROCESS

Every patient has the right to expect the best possible medical care, day in, day out, around the clock. This is the central motto of our medical quality management. To implement this motto in daily clinic routines, we rely not only on conventional quality assurance methods but also pursue a comprehensive approach. In this context, medical accounting, clinical risk management and hospital hygiene and infection control are the pillars that support our Group-wide quality management. The constant coordination between these closely related disciplines and “conventional” quality management results in a stable and capable system – the RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG quality concept.

OUR QUALITY CONCEPT

We want all of our patients to benefit from the specialist know-ledge available at each of our clinics. That is why we have estab-lished several networks that improve the Group-wide exchange of information: in addition to our subject-specific quality com-mittees, which are made up primarily of the senior consultants who work at the individual clinics, we have also set up interdis-ciplinary Group-wide project groups to which specialists from all fields and levels bring their expertise. The expert committees meet on a regular basis and address the following issues:

  • The continued development of subject-specific quality indicators.
  • Making best practice recommendations for medicalprocedures and establishing of Group-wide standards.
  • Recognising and evaluating medical care developments from a subject-specific perspective.

In this way, we ensure that all clinics benefit from the high level of expertise that is available Group-wide, and create the foundations for the three pillars of our quality management:
